Can you switch the sign interpreter on and off like subtitles?
Answer
You cannot turn the signer on and off from the screen. This is because we make a dedicated signed version of the programme. Unlike Subtitles and Audio Description, the signed version is specifically scheduled to play at an allotted time rather than as a service that can be switched on or off via the set top box. This is in line with other broadcasters.
